For this reason, we were told to write a letter directed to a teacher who had inspired us. I decided to write that letter to Mrs Fraile, one of my teachers during the Primary Education years.

Dear Mrs Fraile,

I am writing you to say thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. Today Monday, the 5th of October, is the World Teacher's Day, which is dedicated to pay tribute to teachers. I have had many teachers during my school years, and some of them have influenced me on the way that I would like to teach, but you also inspired me by showing me things that were not written in any curriculum.

Firstly, you taught me to never give up on teaching. It didn't matter how difficult it was for us to understand something, you tried to explain it using different methods or resources until you found the one that helped us to achieve the knowledge. Secondly, you encouraged your students to be creative by organizing activities that promoted the freedom of expression; at that time, you always had good words to say when we were working, taking into account our process and efforts. And finally, you taught me that a teacher doesn't have to be distant, but showing affection and being close with the students will contribute to establish a positive environment.

Your constant work and effort to help us on our learning, your affection and the fact that you always rewarded our progress are aspects that I would like to apply on my teaching. Because of what you did for your students, taking your time to stimulate us and not just focusing on teaching contents, I would like to thank you. I really hope that you can still be inspiring other students as you did with me.

Yours sincerely,
Ana

I N T R O D U C T I O N

My name is Ana, and I am currently studying to be a Primary English Teacher. I like to learn about different things related to education, and this year I am excited with the English lessons, because I hope to know more things related to the English branch of education, to practice with new activities, to share experiences with other peers and also to improve my language skills.

On these months, as teachers have to do, I will be working with a group; I will be part of the one called "English Pitinglish". During this time I will not just be learning with Èrica, Nerea, Lluïsa and Gemma, but also from them. It is a great opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with the other members of the group.

All the kinds of learning have been useful on my way to become a teacher. Once I had the opportunity, I would like to be a teacher who could understand and adapt to the needs of the children and who tried to encourage them to learn, using the support of different materials and resources to make the lessons motivating. It would be a hard work, but enriching.
